CALL FOR PAPERS
The objectives of the conference are:

To create an intellectual platform for case studies and practices.

To create an interdisciplinary conversation on the role of the case studies.

To provide a platform for academics and practitioners to share their perspectives and experience in various aspects of case studies.

To expand the availability of teaching and learning materials on organizational problems faced by the public and private sectors.

The cases must be original and unpublished, and their focus can include, but is not limited to, the following:

Who’s Eligible
Academics, policy makers, industry practitioners, researchers, graduate and undergraduate students, and people who are interested in writing and/or using cases.
Selected entries will be invited to present their cases at the Conference.
Abstracts to reach us by 30 November 2016.
To be included in the conference proceedings, full papers must reach by 15 December 2016.

Selected cases may be published in the UNIRAZAK Volume of Cases.

Case Eligibility
We are seeking original cases that advance the field of case writing and contribute to the understanding of case writing and case study. Cases must not have been previously published or submitted for review to a conference, book or journal.
Submit Your Case
Participants can submit to a maximum of two cases.
The cases shall be subjected to a blind review process for acceptance to the conference.
The text of the case shall be up to a maximum of 15 pages, exclusive of supporting data/appendices and instructor’s manual in 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman 12 font size. The case must be submitted in Microsoft Word file.
For cases that have been selected for publication, must be accompanied by an Instructor’s Manual and should be submitted to submission@unirazak.edu.my by 15.02.2017.
Authors should submit one file containing the submission form, abstract of the case, the case and its related instructor’s manual following the guidelines. In another file, the case and its related instructor's manual should be submitted with all names of authors and organizational affiliates.
Case Abstract
As in the following format:
Title of the case
Name of author(s)
Organization affiliations
Email address(es)
Abstract in one paragraph between 300 – 400 words, Times New Roman, font 10 indented
(Followed by the main body of the case in Microsoft Word file. The text of the case shall be up to a maximum of 15 pages, exclusive of supporting data/appendices and instructor’s manual in 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman 12 font size).
Guideline for Authors

Manuscript: The text of the case shall be a minimum of 8 pages up to a maximum of 15 pages, exclusive of supporting data/appendices and Instructor’s Manual in 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman 12 font size in Microsoft Word file.

Each case shall ‘tell the story’ of a complex, real-life business or public policy related situation (problem) confronted by an organization/person.

Originality: Only original and unpublished work is sought. Work that is currently under review for other conference and/or publication will not be considered. The accepted language of each case study is English.

UNIRAZAK is not responsible for any claims made in any of the case studies accepted for proceedings and publications.

The authors of each of the cases are solely responsible for the content, grammar, theories, and terminology used in the case.

Selected cases for publication would require:

a Case Release form from the organization featured in the study

Copyright form duly filled in and signed

Teaching manual

Format for Instructor’s Manual
Every case that is submitted to the UNIRAZAK International Case Conference must have an accompanying Instructor’s Manual/Teaching Note. The format for the Instructor’s Manual should be as follows:
1. The title of the case should be in all caps and bold 1 inch from the top of the page and centered.
2. Below is a list of the components of the Instructor’s Manual:
a. The course and level in which the case is intended to be taught.
b. Teaching objectives
c. Linkage of the case to relevant theory in the field. (This can also be used in the discussion questions)
d. Suggestions on teaching the case.
e. Discussion questions and possible answers.
